The referee ignored Mozarella FC's protests and gave Anton Rudqvist a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Mozarella FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Anton Rudqvist hit a great ball. 24 minutes into the game, Arne Sundberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mozarella FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Simlångsdalen the free kick. Kent Hermansson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oliver Bergman's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. In the 29th minute, Folke Söderkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 33rd minute Andreas Odman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Åke Andersson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 34 minutes, Verner Kiempe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Simlångsdalen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Verner Kiempe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Carl Almstedt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Simlångsdalen's supporters rose to their feet, but Carl Almstedt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kent Hermansson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jan-Åke Andersson made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Sebastian Västerberg sent off a good shot on target. Verner Kiempe hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Arne Sundberg kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jan-Åke Andersson. That made the score 3-0 in the 46 minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Jan-Åke Andersson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Västerberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oliver Bergman got free with Kent Hermansson in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 63rd minute, Carl Almstedt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Simlångsdalen's Carl Almstedt got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Mozarella FC booed when Simlångsdalen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carl Almstedt didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 75th minute Arne Sundberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Åke Andersson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87th minute, Verner Kiempe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Simlångsdalen's Jan-Åke Andersson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arne Sundberg in the 95th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Västerberg in the 97th minute of play forced Simlångsdalen's goalkeeper Jan-Åke Andersson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Mozarella FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
