Peter Frisk hit a great ball. Kent Hermansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thorben Bergmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Herbert Hellström might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kent Hermansson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Herbert Hellström ran back to his position shaking his head. Herbert Hellström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kent Hermansson having to interfere. The supporters of Esarp IF booed when Mozarella FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vilgot Billvall didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Mozarella FC's Folke Söderkvist got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Herbert Hellström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kent Hermansson having to interfere. Kenneth Axelsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Herbert Hellström to make the kick off.
