Knut Oblak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Birger Olsson in the 25th minute of the match. In the 31st minute Birger Olsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Knut Oblak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Ulf Björkkvist dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Knut Oblak, 2-0. In the 38th match minute, FC Barcelona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nils-Erik Stenström to maneuver through the defense. 40 minutes into the match, Sjödyn FK's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Stålberg came free, but Knut Oblak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Knut Oblak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulf Björkkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Blængur Margrímsson made the kick off in the second half. Ulf Björkkvist hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Blængur Margrímsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jens-Åke Fagerberg having to interfere. Ulf Björkkvist hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. 96 minutes into the game, Lennart Högström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
