The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Knut Oblak didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Michael Åström went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Michael Åström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sjödyn FK's Knut Oblak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michael Åström in the 12th minute of play. Knut Oblak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mathias Kullander, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Sjödyn FK's goal looked a bit too open when Michael Åström came free, but Knut Oblak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leonard Ekström scored 0-3 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Knut Oblak, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kenny Hök kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Knut Oblak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mathias Kullander in the 25th minute of play. Knut Oblak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michael Åström, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 28th minute Leonard Ekström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Knut Oblak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Knut Oblak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mathias Kullander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Magnus Lidberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mathias Kullander in the 41st minute of play forced Sjödyn FK's goalkeeper Knut Oblak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Knut Oblak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mathias Kullander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The wind increased when Mathias Kullander made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Michael Åström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Knut Oblak was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 55 played minutes Sjödyn FK got a freekick which was hit by Magnus Lidberg. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mathias Kullander in the 56th minute of play forced Sjödyn FK's goalkeeper Knut Oblak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mathias Kullander hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. 61 minutes into the match, Magnus Lidberg notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Äng's Jan Björklund. Jan Björklund was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the Sjödyn FK defense, Leonard Ekström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Knut Oblak. The Sjödyn FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Knut Oblak should have stopped the shot. Sjödyn FK's Knut Oblak proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Sjödyn FK from getting a goal against them. In the 72nd minute Mathias Kullander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Knut Oblak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Knut Oblak managed to avoid a goal in the 74thth minute, when Äng's Michael Åström fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to Äng getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Leonard Ekström hit a great ball. Jan Björklund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blængur Margrímsson in the 77th minute of play. After 78 played minutes Äng got a freekick which was hit by Stefan Gunnarsson. Magnus Lidberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sjödyn FK's Knut Oblak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonard Ekström in the 86th minute of play. In the 89th minute, Stefan Gunnarsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Knut Oblak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Michael Åström in the 90th minute. In the 92nd minute, Sjödyn FK's Arne Blomquist seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Arne Blomquist the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Sjödyn FK protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Arne Blomquist had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 91st minute, one of Sjödyn FK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sjödyn FK. In the 94th minute there was a penalty for Äng. Andréas Glanselius stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Knut Oblak. 1-6. The Äng players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
