After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Vinos Fino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lenhovda's supporters rose to their feet, but Vinos Fino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pontus Siggesson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jens-Ola Ivarsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Pontus Siggesson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Lenhovda's Humberto Ostargi got control of the ball when Åke Nordkvist tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vinos Fino might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pontus Siggesson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vinos Fino ran back to his position shaking his head. Vinos Fino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pontus Siggesson having to interfere. The supporters of Amigo Goaldiggers booed when Lenhovda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stig Björkdal didn't get a good kick on the ball. The corner ended in Sune Byström almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Lenhovda's Humberto Ostargi did a great save. Amigo Goaldiggers's Pontus Siggesson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jens-Ola Ivarsson in the 30th minute of play. Humberto Ostargi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leif Sandberg in the 36th minute of play. Vinos Fino struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Pontus Siggesson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lenhovda. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Amigo Goaldiggers's goalkeeper Pontus Siggesson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 43rd minute, Hugo Danielsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Humberto Ostargi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Åke Nordkvist in the 46th minute. After 47 played minutes Lenhovda got a freekick which was hit by Stig Björkdal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leif Sandberg during the 48th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Jens-Ola Ivarsson made the kick off in the second half. August Stenkvist hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 55th minute, Leif Sandberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Amigo Goaldiggers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Vinos Fino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Jens-Ola Ivarsson came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Lenhovda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jens-Ola Ivarsson couldn't finish the play. After 66 minutes of play, Lenhovda's Jens-Ola Ivarsson made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pontus Siggesson was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Vinos Fino came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Lenhovda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vinos Fino couldn't finish the play. In the 86th minute, Jens-Ola Ivarsson fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Pontus Siggesson, passed just outside the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jens-Ola Ivarsson in the 88th minute of play forced Amigo Goaldiggers's goalkeeper Pontus Siggesson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Amigo Goaldiggers's zone, Jens-Ola Ivarsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pontus Siggesson came out of the goal and Jens-Ola Ivarsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
