Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Orvar Finnman started the match with the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sten Högman during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 3 played minutes Deje Capitals got a freekick which was hit by Sten Högman. Ted Ahlbom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 10 minutes into the match, Deje Capitals's goal looked a bit too open when Orvar Finnman came free, but Erik Björklund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Orvar Finnman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erik Björklund having to interfere. 18 minutes into the match, Deje Capitals's Ted Ahlbom sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gösta Sjögren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 19th minute, Sune Thidén ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erik Björklund was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The Deje Capitals fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. If Ted Ahlbom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Hayat Fc getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Sven Persson hit a great ball. The audience cheered loudly when Fred Dahlkvist's long shot in the 39th minute became 2-2 when the ball went to the left of and passed Gösta Sjögren. Andréas Hedin charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andréas Hedin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Deje Capitals getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sune Thidén in the 44th minute of play forced Deje Capitals's goalkeeper Erik Björklund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Deje Capitals's zone, Sune Thidén stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erik Björklund came out of the goal and Sune Thidén tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rickard Mickelsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th play minute Sune Thidén came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Erik Björklund. 2-3. Rickard Mickelsson hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. After 63 played minutes Hayat Fc got a freekick which was hit by Arne Borre. Deje Capitals's Ted Ahlbom got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gösta Sjögren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ted Ahlbom in the 68th minute of the match. Hayat Fc's Gösta Sjögren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ted Ahlbom in the 74th minute of play. Ted Ahlbom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Gösta Sjögren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Hayat Fc had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
