Pa Dembo IF's Per Ekelund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rickard Mickelsson in the 33rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Deje Capitals defense, Tommy Anselius kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Erik Björklund. The Deje Capitals fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erik Björklund should have stopped the shot. Tommy Anselius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Erik Björklund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Ted Ahlbom had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Per Ekelund. Pa Dembo IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ted Ahlbom was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rickard Mickelsson made a kick off. In the 51st match minute, Pa Dembo IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tommy Anselius to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Deje Capitals booed when Pa Dembo IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leif Åström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fred Dahlkvist took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 54th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Per Ekelund. Pa Dembo IF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Deje Capitals's defense didn't have a chance, in the 55th minute, when Egon Sjödin scored to the left of an out of position Erik Björklund, making the score, 1-5. In the 62nd minute, Torsten Åhlberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Pa Dembo IF's Åke Wiman got a free kick in the 66th minute. When Egon Sjödin came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Pa Dembo IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Egon Sjödin couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Pa Dembo IF getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Per-Arne Björkman hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julio Iigo in the 74th minute of play forced Deje Capitals's goalkeeper Erik Björklund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Torsten Åhlberg was shown his second yellow card after 78 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 82nd minute, Egon Sjödin reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Erik Björklund. The goal made the score 1-6. Tang Shu Zhen struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Erik Björklund didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pa Dembo IF. 88 minutes into the match, Deje Capitals's goalkeeper Erik Björklund had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tang Shu Zhen. Erik Björklund acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 90th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Wen Rong Chao. If Tang Shu Zhen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rickard Mickelsson took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Per Ekelund. Per Ekelund dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-6. Pa Dembo IF's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
