After having played for 17 minutes, Mats Aronsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ryssby FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mats Aronsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Mats Aronsson fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ryssby FK's protests and gave Mats Aronsson a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Kreta's Vidar Täman got a free kick in the 29th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marko Gustafsson in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jan-Åke Norström saved Kreta from getting behind. Kreta's Roger Linquist got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tobias Curcio scored 0-4 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jan-Åke Norström, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jan-Åke Norström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvar Nilsson in the 45th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Roger Linquist stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the game, Kristoffer Rosendahl was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ryssby FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kreta the free kick. Kristoffer Rosendahl kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Alvar Nilsson struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Jan-Åke Norström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ryssby FK. Alvar Nilsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Åke Norström having to interfere. After 70 played minutes Ryssby FK got a freekick which was hit by Robin Palmquist. Jan-Åke Norström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvar Nilsson in the 73rd minute of the match. After 74 played minutes Ryssby FK got a freekick which was hit by Karl-Axel Viklund. Marko Gustafsson struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Jan-Åke Norström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ryssby FK. Alvar Nilsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Åke Norström having to interfere. Marko Gustafssons short, quick shot in the 88thth minute got Jan-Åke Norström to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stig Pihlblad in the 96th minute of play forced Ryssby FK's goalkeeper Johannes Mattsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
