Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5626, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 149) Kreta's Roger Linquist started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Per Jonasson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Per-Olof Ödmann hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Karl-Magnus Kilman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jan-Åke Norström was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. In the 9thth minute of the game Stig Tunander who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kreta's Jan-Åke Norström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Överlida fans' excitement grew in the 10th match minute when Överlida's Karl-Magnus Kilman looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 15th minute Roger Linquist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucas Målare saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute, Stig Tunander got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 25 played minutes Kreta got a freekick which was hit by Roger Linquist. Roger Linquist kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Lucas Målare made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Stig Pihlblad sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Stig Tunander managed to get in a good position for a shot. Överlida's supporters rose to their feet, but Stig Tunander was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jan-Åke Norström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jan-Åke Norström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stig Tunander in the 31st minute of the match. Christer Bokelund struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Jan-Åke Norström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Överlida. After a defensive mix-up in Kreta's zone, Christer Bokelund stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jan-Åke Norström came out of the goal and Christer Bokelund tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Per Jonasson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Överlida's supporters rose to their feet, but Per Jonasson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jan-Åke Norström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Niklas Lingren during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Kreta getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Niklas Lingren hit a great ball. Jan-Åke Norström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl Beck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Karl-Magnus Kilman struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Jan-Åke Norström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Överlida. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Stig Tunander to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Kreta's goal looked a bit too open when Stig Tunander came free, but Jan-Åke Norström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Per Jonasson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Jan-Åke Norström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Karl-Magnus Kilman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Åke Norström having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Kreta's Lars Säv got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Lucas Målare took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stig Pihlblad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 67 played minutes Överlida got a freekick which was hit by Karl Beck. If John Almstedt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Kreta booed when Överlida was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stig Tunander didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jan-Åke Norström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl-Magnus Kilman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Överlida's Lucas Målare played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roger Linquist in the 80th minute of play. Per Jonasson hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. The nice shot from Karl-Magnus Kilman in the 85thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Jan-Åke Norström had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Per-Olof Ödmann hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Christer Bokelund blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jan-Åke Norström having to make a save. 92 minutes into the match, Kreta's goalkeeper Jan-Åke Norström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Karl-Magnus Kilman. A collision led to Överlida getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Per Jonasson hit a great ball. When the final whistle sounded Överlida left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Kreta.
