After 3 played minutes Kreta got a freekick which was hit by Henrik Termander. In the 6th match minute, Kreta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roger Linquist to maneuver through the defense. In the 9th minute Cachari Ghoshal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Åke Norström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabian Billock didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Per-Olof Ödmann went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 15 minutes into the match, 68 United's goalkeeper Fabian Billock had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stig Pihlblad. Kreta's Jan-Åke Norström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ball Foote in the 16th minute of play. If Cachari Ghoshal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Greger Aleberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Jan-Åke Norström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The 68 United fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when 68 United's Cachari Ghoshal looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Greger Aleberg came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the 68 United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Greger Aleberg couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, 68 United's Fabian Billock got control of the ball when Stig Pihlblad tried to sneak it across the goal line. When 68 United's Cachari Ghoshal in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kreta's goalie prevented a goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cachari Ghoshal to make the kick off. 68 United's Cachari Ghoshal was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 53rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After a rather tough play, 68 United's Douglas Wiberg got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 58th minute Roger Linquist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabian Billock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Kreta's goalkeeper Jan-Åke Norström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stig Pihlblad in the 66th minute of play forced 68 United's goalkeeper Fabian Billock to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 67 minutes of play, 68 United's Cachari Ghoshal made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jan-Åke Norström was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match clock showed 70 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Cachari Ghoshal sped through Kreta's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jan-Åke Norström. Cachari Ghoshal came free with the goalkeeper in the 79th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jan-Åke Norström could save by the left post. In the 81st minute Roger Linquist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabian Billock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th minute, 68 United's Boruc Cerocki dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-6. When Cachari Ghoshal came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the 68 United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cachari Ghoshal couldn't finish the play. Fabian Billock showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roger Linquist, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. 68 United's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
