Roland Buffon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thomas Pilgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. 7 minutes into the match, Bulldog Squad's goal looked a bit too open when Thomas Pilgren came free, but Roland Buffon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the The Simpsons defense, Wictor Tillman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kurt Hafström. The The Simpsons fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kurt Hafström should have stopped the shot. Kurt Hafström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sixten Jakobsson in the 18th minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, The Simpsons's goal looked a bit too open when Wictor Tillman came free, but Kurt Hafström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Ingmar Knutsson notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of The Simpsons's Kurt Hafström. Kurt Hafström was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Thomas Pilgren managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Simpsons's supporters rose to their feet, but Thomas Pilgren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roland Buffon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 33rd match minute, Bulldog Squad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jarl Näfver to maneuver through the defense. In the 36th minute, Wictor Tillman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kurt Hafström was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Kurt Hafström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sixten Jakobsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Wictor Tillman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingmar Knutsson in the 52nd minute of play forced The Simpsons's goalkeeper Kurt Hafström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th minute, Bulldog Squad's Wictor Tillman ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Kurt Hafström. Kurt Hafström yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. In the 61st minute, Bulldog Squad's Ingmar Knutsson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. Wictor Tillman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Kurt Hafström made a huge save. Sixten Jakobsson struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Kurt Hafström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bulldog Squad. The Simpsons's defense didn't have a chance, in the 78th minute, when Sixten Jakobsson scored to the left of an out of position Kurt Hafström, making the score, 0-6. Bulldog Squad's Fred Melberg was substituted for Gunnar Ekeroth. Bulldog Squad's Ulf Brogren was substituted for Jan Hellsing. Bulldog Squad's Jarl Näfver got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Roland Buffon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Björn Hökkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 90th minute, Thomas Pilgren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Sixten Jakobsson came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Bulldog Squad fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sixten Jakobsson couldn't finish the play. In the 95th match minute, The Simpsons was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thomas Pilgren to maneuver through the defense. Wictor Tillmans short, quick shot in the 96thth minute got Kurt Hafström to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the final whistle sounded Bulldog Squad left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than The Simpsons.
