Kurt Hafström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marko Gustafsson in the 6th minute of play. In the 9th minute Marko Gustafsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kurt Hafström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute of the match Kristoffer Rosendahl shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kurt Hafström showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 17th minute Alvar Nilsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kurt Hafström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute Karl-Axel Viklund suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Elof Lindholm kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. After 22 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ryssby FK! Johannes Mattsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Björn Hökkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. A collision led to The Simpsons getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Thomas Pilgren hit a great ball. If Nils Johnsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 40 minutes into the match, The Simpsons's goal looked a bit too open when Alvar Nilsson came free, but Kurt Hafström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alvar Nilsson to strike the kick off in the second half. Nils Johnsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kurt Hafström having to interfere. With a little luck, The Simpsons's Kurt Hafström got control of the ball when Tobias Curcio tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of The Simpsons booed when Ryssby FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nils Johnsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th minute of the match Joel Wiklund sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Johannes Mattsson skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of The Simpsons booed when Ryssby FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nils Johnsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Simpsons's Kurt Hafström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvar Nilsson in the 93rd minute of play. The The Simpsons players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
