Olof Sikström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Olof Sikström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sture Löfskog in the 29th minute of the match. Kent Åkerman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Olof Sikström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sture Löfskog fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olof Sikström having to interfere. If Rickard Damm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olof Sikström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sture Löfskog, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. After 45 minutes, Fredric Flinck mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bruket and the Väderstad IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Bruket getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Fredric Flinck hit a great ball. With a little luck, Väderstad IF's Ivar Lundgren got control of the ball when Jens Arvidsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Sture Löfskog made the kick off in the second half. Sture Löfskog's late challenge caught a Bruket's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sture Löfskog helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Väderstad IF getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Sture Löfskog hit a great ball. 55 minutes into the match, Bruket's Jens Arvidsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ivar Lundgren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 62 minutes into the game, Bruket's Tomas Siöberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ivar Lundgren made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fredric Flinck in the 68th minute of play forced Väderstad IF's goalkeeper Ivar Lundgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Sture Löfskog's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Olof Sikström was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Ingvar Eriksson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Olof Sikström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sture Löfskog in the 90thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Olof Sikström, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After some careless play in the Bruket defense, Ingvar Eriksson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Olof Sikström. The Bruket fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Olof Sikström should have stopped the shot. Olof Sikström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sture Löfskog, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
