After some careless play in the Loverpool defense, Harry Örn kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stefan Kilberg. The Loverpool fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stefan Kilberg should have stopped the shot. Torgny Jakobsson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Oskar Kilström came out and tried to block the shot, but Torgny Jakobsson slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 12th minute. If Harry Örn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Loverpool getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Torgny Jakobsson hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harry Örn in the 20th minute of play forced Loverpool's goalkeeper Stefan Kilberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gösta Håkansson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Oskar Kilström came out and tried to block the shot, but Gösta Håkansson slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 26th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Los Skalinos's goalkeeper Oskar Kilström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Lindqvist. Stig-Arne Jonasson, 35 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After having played for 38 minutes, Gösta Håkansson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Loverpool's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gösta Håkansson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 48th minute Harry Örn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stefan Kilberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gösta Håkansson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes in the game, Gustaf Hedström fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Stefan Kilberg having to interfere. Harry Örn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Stefan Kilberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Loverpool's Christer Alebom got a free kick in the 58th minute. Stefan Kilberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harry Örn, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. A collision led to Loverpool getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Otto Blom hit a great ball. 61 minutes into the game, Los Skalinos's Edmund Stolpe nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stefan Kilberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. In the 66th minute Felix Lindqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oskar Kilström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Harry Örn was extremely unlucky when he, in the 69th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Los Skalinos's Oskar Kilström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gösta Håkansson in the 73rd minute of play. The supporters of Loverpool booed when Los Skalinos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Georg Mikaelsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benjamin Holmberg kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. If Gösta Håkansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
