In the 30th match minute, Loverpool was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christer Alebom to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice moves Alfons Lindgren could shoot a difficult shot in the 32nd minute, which Stefan Kilberg however easily saved by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Loverpool's zone, Alfons Lindgren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stefan Kilberg came out of the goal and Alfons Lindgren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 45th minute Dennis Jonsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stefan Kilberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Ucklum IF getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Sven Andreasson hit a great ball. After the first half Loverpool were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anton Skarkman to strike the kick off in the second half. Kjell Odin made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Felix Lindqvist sent off a good shot on target. Felix Lindqvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Kjell Odin made a huge save. The supporters of Ucklum IF booed when Loverpool was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcus Målare didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Loverpool's Christer Alebom slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kjell Odin. That made the score 1-3 after 71 minutes of play. In the 79th minute, Dennis Jonsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ucklum IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Kjell Odin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anton Skarkman in the 85th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anton Skarkman in the 87th minute of play forced Ucklum IF's goalkeeper Kjell Odin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dennis Jonsson in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stefan Kilberg saved Loverpool from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dennis Jonsson in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stefan Kilberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 92nd minute, Ucklum IF's Carl Bäck seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Carl Bäck the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Ucklum IF protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Carl Bäck had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After a rather tough play, Ucklum IF's Carl Bäck got a free kick in the 92nd minute.
