Olov Stephansson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Andy Sjöö showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kåre Sjögren, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Olov Stephansson was out of position in the 24 minute of play, and Uno Andreasson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Uno Andreasson really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. If Uno Andreasson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Rätan IF's Olov Stephansson got control of the ball when Albin Billberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Olov Stephansson made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Henric Colin sent off a good shot on target. 37 minutes into the match, Rätan IF's goal looked a bit too open when Henric Colin came free, but Olov Stephansson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olov Stephansson was out of position in the 40 minute of play, and Uno Andreasson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Uno Andreasson really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Kåre Sjögren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Albin Billberg made a kick off. Olov Stephansson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Uno Andreasson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 58th match minute, Rätan IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl-Johan Kalfhage to maneuver through the defense. Albin Billberg took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Olov Stephansson. Olov Stephansson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vilhelm Jonasson in the 62nd minute of play forced Rätan IF's goalkeeper Olov Stephansson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kåre Sjögren in the 67th minute of play forced Young Boys IF's goalkeeper Andy Sjöö to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pelle Löfkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. 72 minutes into the match, Rätan IF's goal looked a bit too open when Uno Andreasson came free, but Olov Stephansson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
