In the 10th match minute, Young Boys IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pelle Löfkvist to maneuver through the defense. Pelle Löfkvist's late challenge caught a Gudhem's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pelle Löfkvist helped the player get up and apologised. Pelle Löfkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. After 22 minutes, Uno Andreasson made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Gudhem's Oskar Åström tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Albin Billberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Gudhem getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Melker Sikström hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henric Colin in the 27th minute of play forced Gudhem's goalkeeper Oskar Åström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Gudhem's zone, Pelle Löfkvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oskar Åström came out of the goal and Pelle Löfkvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oskar Åström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albin Billberg in the 32nd minute of play. Uno Andreasson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oskar Åström having to interfere. Andy Sjöö took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Birger Jansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpected shot in the 39th minute by Malcolm Almstedt got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Uno Andreasson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Oskar Åström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Birger Jansson to make the kick off. If Vilhelm Jonasson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 56th minute, Uno Andreasson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 60th minute Malcolm Almstedt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andy Sjöö saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, Malcolm Almstedt notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Young Boys IF's Andy Sjöö. Andy Sjöö was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pelle Löfkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Vilhelm Jonasson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Oskar Åström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Albin Billberg succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-4 in the 79th playminute. Uno Andreasson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Oskar Åström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, Gudhem's goalkeeper Oskar Åström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Albin Billberg. A hard shot 86 in the game by Vilhelm Jonasson from a close distance when the talented Oskar Åström managed to make a qualified save. Gudhem's players were relieved. Melker Sikström kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Oskar Åström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Albin Billberg in the 91st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Uno Andreasson in the 94th minute of play forced Gudhem's goalkeeper Oskar Åström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vilhelm Jonasson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oskar Åström having to interfere. The Gudhem fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Young Boys IF were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
