Claes Lindström hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Uno Andreasson in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Asopos Frangopoulos saved Ifk Kålltorp from getting behind. In the 10th minute, Stig-Ove Björnberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Albin Billberg came free with the goalkeeper in the 13th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Asopos Frangopoulos could save by the left post. In the 34th minute, Jon Odin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Albin Billberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Asopos Frangopoulos made a huge save. In the 42nd minute, Ingemar Bock hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Albin Billberg to make the kick off. Asopos Frangopoulos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Albin Billberg's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. The tension between the Ifk Kålltorp and the Young Boys IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Young Boys IF's Johan Löfgren suffered a sore thigh after 94 minutes and couldn't finish the game. During the 94th minute of the match Ingemar Bock completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Ingemar Bock a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Young Boys IF's Pelle Lundgren was substituted for Johan Löfgren. Ingemar Bock kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Young Boys IF had won after a very even match.
