Marcus Ekrot scored 1-0 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Olov Stephansson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kristoffer Snäll received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Yngve Mossberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Rätan IF's Olov Stephansson got control of the ball when Marcus Ekrot tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Rätan IF booed when FC Djuuuuuu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcus Ekrot didn't get a good kick on the ball. Magnus Majman hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. When Gunnar Kruuse fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Djuuuuuu's protests and gave Gunnar Kruuse a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th match minute, FC Djuuuuuu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gunnar Kruuse to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th minute, Andy Snäll hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Martin Walroth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yngve Mossberg having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Henry Vallgren during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 38th minute, Henry Vallgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 41st play minutes Kåre Sjögren shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Yngve Mossberg and just under the crossbar into goal. When Rätan IF's Kåre Sjögren in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Axel Jonasson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rätan IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Axel Jonasson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yngve Mossberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kåre Sjögren to strike the kick off in the second half. Rätan IF were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after FC Djuuuuuu's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Axel Jonasson took the corner. Kåre Sjögren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olov Stephansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henry Vallgren in the 62nd minute of play. After 69 minutes of play, FC Djuuuuuu's Marcus Ekrot made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Olov Stephansson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Magnus Majman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Rätan IF fans' excitement grew in the 75th match minute when Rätan IF's Kåre Sjögren looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 79th minute, Gunnar Kruuse hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Mathias Pilberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Kåre Sjögren came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Rätan IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kåre Sjögren couldn't finish the play. Marcus Ekrot kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Olov Stephansson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcus Ekrot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd minute, Magnus Majman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Yngve Mossberg managed to avoid a goal in the 95thth minute, when Rätan IF's Kåre Sjögren fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. During the 95th minute of the match Henry Vallgren completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Henry Vallgren a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Rätan IF were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing FC Djuuuuuu to leave the ground with a draw.
