In the 11th minute of the match Alex Åkesson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jens-Ola Qvalfeldt skillfully saved the ball. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Mölndal United's Karl Jönsson in the 13th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Jens-Ola Qvalfeldt was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Täfteå BF through an amazing save. The supporters of Täfteå BF booed when Mölndal United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Göransson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 26 played minutes Mölndal United got a freekick which was hit by Kurt Tingberg. The supporters of Täfteå BF booed when Mölndal United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kurt Tingberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonas Hylander's late challenge caught a Mölndal United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. With an all-out effort, Mölndal United's Jens-Ola Qvalfeldt threw himself towards the right post 45 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Karl Jönsson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Jonas Hylander hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nils Kruuse got free with Jens-Ola Qvalfeldt in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Karl Jönsson to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Karl Jönsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jens-Ola Qvalfeldt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Helge Sandell made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Elof Torstensson sent off a good shot on target. When Nils Kruuse came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Mölndal United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nils Kruuse couldn't finish the play. 77 minutes into the game, Elof Torstensson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Helge Sandell was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mölndal United's Helge Sandell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wictor Wennerberg in the 81st minute of play. Elof Torstensson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joachim Vik in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Helge Sandell saved Mölndal United from getting behind. 91 minutes into the game, Göran Bäckman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mölndal United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Täfteå BF the free kick. The supporters of Täfteå BF booed when Mölndal United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Göran Bäckman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wictor Wennerberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Helge Sandell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wictor Wennerberg in the 94th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Mölndal United had won after a very even match.
