Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tor Bröms in the 12th minute of play forced Mighty Midgets FF's goalkeeper Tim Åkesson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mats Bergfelt in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sten Ström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wictor Hegg hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. The supporters of Assyriska BK booed when Mighty Midgets FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mats Bergfelt didn't get a good kick on the ball. During the 19th minute of the match Tor Bröms completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Tor Bröms a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 19 played minutes Assyriska BK got a freekick which was hit by Tor Bröms. Calle Vibjörnsson kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. When Alfred Mårtensson fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mighty Midgets FF's protests and gave Alfred Mårtensson a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Mighty Midgets FF getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Alfred Mårtensson hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Per-Arne Kinnman got free with Sten Ström in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 29 minutes, Leonardo Arenstedt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mighty Midgets FF and the Assyriska BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 29th minute, Leonardo Arenstedt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 35 minutes into the match, Assyriska BK's Calle Vibjörnsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tim Åkesson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Assyriska BK's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
