Göran Bäckman charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Göran Bäckman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 14 minutes into the game, Joseph Bäck was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Baerby Red Wolves's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mölndal United the free kick. The supporters of Mölndal United booed when Baerby Red Wolves was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joseph Bäck didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th minute, Baerby Red Wolves's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Nils Kruuse fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Karl Jönsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Johannes Alrot was out of position in the 34 minute of play, and Nils Kruuse capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Nils Kruuse really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. With his leg Johannes Alrot managed to avoid a goal in the 40thth minute, when Mölndal United's Nils Kruuse fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Robert Allbom in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Helge Sandell saved Mölndal United from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dick Pilberg in the 42nd minute of play forced Mölndal United's goalkeeper Helge Sandell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baerby Red Wolves's Johannes Alrot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl Jönsson in the 46th minute of play. Nils Kruuse who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 47thth minute tested the skills of Johannes Alrot when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Karl Jönsson to make the kick off. In the 55th minute, Robert Allbom got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dick Pilberg succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 57th playminute. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Dick Pilberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Baerby Red Wolves's supporters rose to their feet, but Dick Pilberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Baerby Red Wolves walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
