In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Korsberga's goalkeeper Paul Vacker, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 20 minutes into the game, Torsten Almkvist recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Östen Larsfelt. Torsten Almkvist showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Per Söderberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paul Vacker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erik Vester, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. David Haeger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Östen Larsfelt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leif Lenberg in the 51st minute of the match. Leif Örtendahl kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Paul Vacker stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erik Vester's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Per Söderberg got free with Paul Vacker in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 68th minute, Korsberga's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Per Söderberg fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Erik Vester had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Henry Gulliksson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
