After 29 played minutes Juniorerna got a freekick which was hit by Ingemar Asserlindh. Andy Sandberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sture Andersson having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, Måleriets BK's Rasmus Vassenius sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sture Andersson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 45 minutes into the match, Juniorerna's goal looked a bit too open when Rasmus Vassenius came free, but Sture Andersson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lars Wennerström made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rasmus Vassenius in the 52nd minute of play forced Juniorerna's goalkeeper Sture Andersson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rasmus Vasseniuss short, quick shot in the 60thth minute got Sture Andersson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rasmus Vassenius got free with Sture Andersson in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sture Andersson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rasmus Vassenius in the 64th minute. 0-3 became the score in the 68th minute when Andy Sandberg elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Juniorerna's Sture Andersson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Juniorerna from getting a goal against them. Sture Andersson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rasmus Vassenius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
