After 52 played minutes, Ösmo's Sten Linquist shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Petter Springfält came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ösmo reached it. Benislav Pemov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucjan Trac having to interfere. If Salvador Rius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 62 minutes into the match, Fenerbahce SK's Benislav Pemov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lucjan Trac narrowly saved just below the crossbar. During the 63rd minute of the match Fritz Falkrantz completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Fritz Falkrantz a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Fenerbahce SK booed when Ösmo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fritz Falkrantz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 76 minutes, Vladimir Pretini mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fenerbahce SK and the Ösmo players grew even worse after the yellow card.
