In the 41st minute, one of Gandalfs IF:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Gandalfs IF. The goalkeeper, Bengt-Åke Carlsson, was totally fooled by Furuvik IK's Carl Eriksson, who 42 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Simon Sjödin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaf Wallmark in the 57th minute of the match. Furuvik IK's Carl Eriksson got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Börge Tillman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 89 minutes into the game, Carl Eriksson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Bengt-Åke Carlsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
