Kent Säfström struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Bengt-Åke Carlsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AC Milan. When Gandalfs IF's Gustaf Wallmark in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye AC Milan's goalie prevented a goal. Harry Hägglund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Eric Forsman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th minute, Daniel Bryngelsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 21st minute of the match Magne Wennerberg shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eric Forsman showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 22ndth minute of the game Kent Säfström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gandalfs IF's Bengt-Åke Carlsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Gustaf Wallmark dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Eric Forsman, 1-0. Eric Forsman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaf Wallmark in the 31st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in AC Milan's zone, Harry Hägglund stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eric Forsman came out of the goal and Harry Hägglund tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Harry Hägglunds short, quick shot in the 38thth minute got Eric Forsman to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Gustaf Wallmark received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Eric Forsman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Sune Lindgren kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Eric Forsman. That made the score 2-0 in the 43 minute of play. With an all-out effort, Gandalfs IF's Eric Forsman threw himself towards the right post 46 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gustaf Wallmark, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kent Säfström to make the kick off. The supporters of Gandalfs IF booed when AC Milan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfred Göransson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 53 minutes into the match, AC Milan's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaf Wallmark came free, but Eric Forsman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gustaf Wallmark took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eric Forsman. Eric Forsman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. 68 minutes into the game, Gandalfs IF's Gustaf Wallmark nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eric Forsman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harry Hägglund in the 74th minute of play forced AC Milan's goalkeeper Eric Forsman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bengt-Åke Carlsson was a little too slow when Kent Säfström got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 83rd minute. The score was now 5-1. A collision led to AC Milan getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Hugo Rönn hit a great ball. Gandalfs IF walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
