Gösta Johansson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 7thth minute, Knut Ekström skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Gösta Johansson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Knut Ekström having to make a save. Joel Nordström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eddie Vallengren having to interfere. With a little luck, Väderstad's Knut Ekström got control of the ball when Gösta Johansson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dag Isaksson hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Knut Ekström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joacim Brun, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Joel Nordström might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eddie Vallengren. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joel Nordström ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 26th minute Wiktor Finnman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eddie Vallengren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joacim Brun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joel Nordström blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eddie Vallengren having to make a save. Knut Ekström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joacim Brun in the 40th minute of the match. Wiktor Finnman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eddie Vallengren having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joacim Brun in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Knut Ekström saved Väderstad from getting behind. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joacim Brun stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Folke Björck hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. In the 54th minute of the match Axel Hagström shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Knut Ekström showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Örebro BK's Joacim Brun got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Knut Ekström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joacim Brun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Väderstad's Joel Nordström got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ian Dahlqvist hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. In the 80th minute, Gösta Johansson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joel Nordström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Knut Ekström came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Örebro BK's Gösta Johansson. But to his dismay, Gösta Johansson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Eddie Vallengren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wiktor Finnman in the 91st minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Väderstad's Wiktor Finnman slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eddie Vallengren. That made the score 1-1 after 92 minutes of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
