Gandalfs IF's Gustaf Wallmark got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bernt Colin kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Anton Dalman kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Harry Hägglunds short, quick shot in the 26thth minute got Harald Kuse to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to Gårdstens FC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Sverker Lundqvist hit a great ball. Harald Kuse made an important save on a dangerous shot by Harry Hägglund in the 36th minute. After 38 played minutes Gandalfs IF got a freekick which was hit by Ivar Trillkott. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Gabriel Kjellman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gårdstens FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gabriel Kjellman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bengt-Åke Carlsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dorel Martin in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bengt-Åke Carlsson saved Gandalfs IF from getting behind. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gustaf Wallmark to make the kick off. Harald Kuse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harry Hägglund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 56th minute, Anton Dalman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Harald Kuse showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaf Wallmark in the 59th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the match, Gårdstens FC's goal looked a bit too open when Harry Hägglund came free, but Harald Kuse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dorel Martin got free with Bengt-Åke Carlsson in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sigvard Askberg lost his temper 66 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 66 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Gårdstens FC! Mathias Hammarbäck shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Harald Kuse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaf Wallmark in the 74th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Dorel Martin took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Bengt-Åke Carlsson to make any attempt to save it. In the 86th minute, Dorel Martin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Harry Hägglund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Harald Kuse tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Gandalfs IF booed when Gårdstens FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sverker Lundqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Harald Kuse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaf Wallmark, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Mathias Hammarbäck hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match.
