Ben Dailly scored 1-0 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lennart Runberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Vilgot Grönberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Nico Gala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nico Gala stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henry Käcker's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Ben Dailly made the kick off in the second half. Gösta Beckman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nico Gala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henry Käcker in the 54th minute of play. If Jens-Ove Kellberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nico Gala made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vilgot Grönberg in the 63rd minute. The supporters of FC Spurs booed when Lindholmens IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Helge Martinsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Henry Käcker got free with Nico Gala in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Henry Käcker fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Spurs's protests and gave Henry Käcker a yellow card for diving instead. Henry Käcker hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Lindholmens IF fully deserved thier win.
