An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrick Lundhberg in the 3rd minute of play forced UDDE FC's goalkeeper Krister Bålström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 8 minutes into the match, Åhus IF's goal looked a bit too open when Ralf Kjellman came free, but Cazimir Stoica reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 10th minute, UDDE FC's Ralf Kjellman ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cazimir Stoica. Cazimir Stoica yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Patrick Lundhberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 16th minute Ralf Kjellman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cazimir Stoica saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cazimir Stoica was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Ralf Kjellman capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ralf Kjellman really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. In the 25thth minute of the game Ralf Kjellman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Åhus IF's Cazimir Stoica was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. UDDE FC's Ralf Kjellman got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 30 minutes, Cazimir Stoica successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 30 minutes into the game, Jonas Skytt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Åhus IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave UDDE FC the free kick. In the 31st match minute, Åhus IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonas Skytt to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Åhus IF's Fred Wall got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Rickard Johnsson's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Cazimir Stoica firmly grabbed it by the left post. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jörn Sillén was the one to do the kick off. Åhus IF's Cazimir Stoica played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rickard Johnsson in the 53rd minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 54th minute of the game. One of UDDE FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Åhus IF:s goal. When UDDE FC's Ralf Kjellman in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Åhus IF's goalie prevented a goal. In the 81st minute, Patrick Lundhberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Krister Bålström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Patrick Lundhberg in the 90th minute. UDDE FC's Krister Bålström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jörn Sillén in the 91st minute of play. Patrick Lundhberg charged in rather forcefully in the 97th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Patrick Lundhberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 97th match minute, Åhus IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrick Lundhberg to maneuver through the defense. UDDE FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
