Cazimir Stoica made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Gustav Östensson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Per Sundén tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gustav Östensson hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Patrick Lundhberg did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Per Sundén 21 minutes into the match. After 24 minutes, Gustav Östensson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Åhus IF and the Söderkroken IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 24th minute, Gustav Östensson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 25 minutes into the game, Fred Wall was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Åhus IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Söderkroken IF the free kick. Fred Wall kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Ivar Nordkvist came free in the 27th minute and tried to tip the ball over Cazimir Stoica, but to the joy of Åhus IF's supporters the ball hit the crossbar and out. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Söderkroken IF booed when Åhus IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Åhus IF's Jörn Sillén got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Åhus IF were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Söderkroken IF for a fine match.
