The referee ignored AIK Fotboll's protests and gave Nils Flinck a yellow card for diving instead. After 9 played minutes AIK Fotboll got a freekick which was hit by Nils Flinck. With a little luck, AIK Fotboll's Birger Algren got control of the ball when Tomas Hegg tried to sneak it across the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, AIK Fotboll's goal looked a bit too open when Marko Mattsson came free, but Birger Algren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a left leg Birger Algren saved AIK Fotboll from getting behind. When Joachim Groth came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the AIK Fotboll fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joachim Groth couldn't finish the play. In the 33rdth minute of the game Joachim Groth who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bandhagen's Kalle Hägert was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Mats Olsman dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Birger Algren, 2-0.
