Örebro SK Söder's Valon Ali got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Börje Jönsson was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 8 minutes into the match. In the 9th minute, Börje Jönsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Birger Algren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nikitas Tsolakopoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. 11 minutes into the match, Valon Ali had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Birger Algren. AIK Fotboll's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Valon Ali was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Birger Algren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl Åberg in the 27th minute of play. In the 31st minute, Åke Sjöström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 32 minutes, Tage Lang managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Örebro SK Söder's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tage Lang was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 39th minute Karl Åberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Birger Algren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tage Lang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Birger Algren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tage Lang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Åke Sjöström to make the kick off. 57 minutes into the match, AIK Fotboll's goal looked a bit too open when Tage Lang came free, but Birger Algren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Axel Waller's late challenge caught a Örebro SK Söder's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Axel Waller helped the player get up and apologised. Åke Sjöström hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. AIK Fotboll's Birger Algren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tage Lang in the 62nd minute of play. 65 minutes into the match Karl Åberg climbed in front of goal and pressed up 0-2 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Birger Algren. In the 74th minute of the match, Tage Lang tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Birger Algren saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valon Ali got free with Birger Algren in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tage Lang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Karl Åberg kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Birger Algren. That made the score 0-3 in the 83 minute of play. Örebro SK Söder's Yngve Sjögren was substituted for Aldo Elorri. Birger Algren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valon Ali in the 91st minute. Yngve Sjögren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Birger Algren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
