Marcus Bokelund might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stellan Beck. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ludvig Eliasson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anton Allbom in the 34th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the game, Björn Sundberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Borussia Dortmund's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sparsör IFK the free kick. In the 39th minute, one of Borussia Dortmund:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Borussia Dortmund. The excitement rose when Sparsör IFK's Rune Morat after 42 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Borussia Dortmund's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 0-3. Jonas Uggla took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 45th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ludvig Eliasson. Borussia Dortmund's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 47thth minute of the game Ingvar Strömbom who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Borussia Dortmund's Ludvig Eliasson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Borussia Dortmund's Ludvig Eliasson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anton Allbom in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 56 minutes into the match, Rudolf Haström had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ludvig Eliasson. Borussia Dortmund's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rudolf Haström was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. After 60 played minutes Borussia Dortmund got a freekick which was hit by Fredric Sandwall. After having played for 63 minutes, Jonatan Ahlqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sparsör IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonatan Ahlqvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 65th minute of the match Jonas Uggla shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ludvig Eliasson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The Borussia Dortmund fans' excitement grew in the 67th match minute when Borussia Dortmund's Per Zachrisson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some careless play in the Borussia Dortmund defense, Anton Allbom kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ludvig Eliasson. The Borussia Dortmund fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ludvig Eliasson should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Per Zachrisson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Borussia Dortmund's supporters rose to their feet, but Per Zachrisson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stellan Beck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ludvig Eliasson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anton Allbom in the 88th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ingvar Strömbom got free with Ludvig Eliasson in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Sparsör IFK's zone, Per Zachrisson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Although Borussia Dortmund had been in control for most of the match, Sparsör IFK still came away with the win.
