Äng's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Catamenia Stars the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in Catamenia Stars's zone, Robin Sikström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karl-Magnus Eliasson came out of the goal and Robin Sikström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 46 minutes, Sakarias Rydberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Catamenia Stars's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sakarias Rydberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Jens-Ove Ferm made the kick off in the second half. If Torgny Pihlwall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sakarias Rydberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Victor Bredberg. Despite being the better team, Äng failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
