Torsten Duset fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Folke Arenberg having to interfere. Holger Wiberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Folke Löfgren's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Stora Höga's Folke Löfgren got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 33rd minute, Folke Löfgren left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Stora Höga fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 38th minute of the match Torgny Majman shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Folke Arenberg showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 41 minutes into the game, Magnus Söderqwist was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC GAIS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stora Höga the free kick. In the 40th minute, one of FC GAIS:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC GAIS. Dan Wiman placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Holger Wiberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Folke Löfgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Magnus Söderqwist kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Folke Löfgren might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Holger Wiberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Folke Löfgren ran back to his position shaking his head. The FC GAIS players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Stora Höga were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Folke Löfgren to make the kick off. Ulf Mattsson kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 52nd minute of the match Dan Wiman shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Holger Wiberg showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Folke Arenberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stefan Josefsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. When Göran Alrot came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Stora Höga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Göran Alrot couldn't finish the play. Holger Wiberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Göran Alrot in the 60th minute. Stora Höga's Folke Arenberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ingemar Olsson in the 64th minute of play. Holger Wiberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Folke Löfgren in the 67th minute of play. In the 68th match minute, FC GAIS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anthon Nyberg to maneuver through the defense. Göran Alrot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Holger Wiberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 73rd minute of the game. One of FC GAIS:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Stora Höga:s goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Torsten Duset managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC GAIS's supporters rose to their feet, but Torsten Duset was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Folke Arenberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mats Söderberg kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Anthon Nyberg took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 83rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Folke Arenberg. Stora Höga's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Anthon Nyberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd minute, FC GAIS's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Folke Löfgren fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Folke Arenberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torsten Duset in the 94th minute of play. The FC GAIS fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Stora Höga were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
