The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jim Billing to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Skillingaryd IFK's Per Sillén got a free kick in the 56th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Viktor Byström got free with Alf Lindström in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aldo Paul took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kristian Österberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Viktor Byström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gunnar Örtlund's late challenge caught a Downi FF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gunnar Örtlund helped the player get up and apologised. Viktor Byström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Downi FF's Ulf Samuelsson got a free kick in the 81st minute. After 84 minutes, Jim Billing mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Downi FF and the Skillingaryd IFK players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Skillingaryd IFK booed when Downi FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jim Billing didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Elias Valrot from long distance, 85 minutes into the match, got Alf Lindström's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. If Jim Billing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd minute, Jim Billing ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aldo Paul was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Downi FF walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
