Spectators: 5149 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Viktor Byström started the match with the kick off. Richard Morat kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. In the 7th minute, Viktor Byström left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Skillingaryd IFK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. A sloppy throw-in by Bertil Siöberg in the 11th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Sunnansjö's Nils Lundin. 17 minutes into the match, Skillingaryd IFK's Viktor Byström sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rudolf Benett narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rudolf Benett was a little too slow when Viktor Byström got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 24th minute. The score was now 2-0. Sunnansjö's Rudolf Benett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viktor Byström in the 31st minute of play. Walter Vesterberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 35th minute by Viktor Byström got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Viktor Byström did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-0 to the left of a surprised Rudolf Benett 36 minutes into the match. In the 42nd minute Viktor Byström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rudolf Benett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Viktor Byström who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 48thth minute tested the skills of Rudolf Benett when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Walter Vesterberg to strike the kick off in the second half. Gunnar Örtlund recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rudolf Benett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jens-Ove Ahlström, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. 61 minutes into the game, Richard Morat was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Skillingaryd IFK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sunnansjö the free kick. In the 61st match minute, Skillingaryd IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richard Morat to maneuver through the defense. Aldo Paul took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walter Vesterberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65th minute Richard Morat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rudolf Benett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Viktor Byström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Henning Heggert hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In the 73rd minute, Viktor Byström ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rudolf Benett was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. After a defensive mix-up in Sunnansjö's zone, Jens-Ove Ahlström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rudolf Benett came out of the goal and Jens-Ove Ahlström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. It was beautiful to see Skillingaryd IFK's Elias Valrot in action when he in the 85th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Viktor Byström might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rudolf Benett. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Viktor Byström ran back to his position shaking his head. Erling Lang hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.
