Spectators: 7593 (Terracing: 5696, Seating: 1746, VIP seats: 151) Jim Billing started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Downi FF's Alf Lindström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claes Almqvist in the 5th minute of play. The supporters of Downi FF booed when Blyth Spartans was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrick Carlberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 8 played minutes Blyth Spartans got a freekick which was hit by Mārtiņs Reitmanis. After 14 played minutes Blyth Spartans got a freekick which was hit by Manfredo Fontes. After 23 played minutes Blyth Spartans got a freekick which was hit by Sakarias Sandberg. Kajetan Borucki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Alf Lindström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alf Lindström came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Blyth Spartans's Claes Almqvist. But to his dismay, Claes Almqvist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After 33 played minutes Claes Almqvist rounded Downi FF's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. In the 35th minute, Claes Almqvist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 38th minute, Claes Almqvist left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Blyth Spartans fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Claes Almqvist scored 4-0 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alf Lindström, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Claes Almqvist made a kick off. Kajetan Borucki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Blyth Spartans's Saturnino Valente was substituted for Thad Jøker. Blyth Spartans's Laureano Cordera was substituted for Claes Almqvist. Walter Berggren got a throw-in 58 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Walter Berggren. In the 59th minute, Walter Berggren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 61 minutes into the match, Downi FF's goal looked a bit too open when Saturnino Valente came free, but Alf Lindström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Downi FF defense, Joseph Hedin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alf Lindström. The Downi FF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alf Lindström should have stopped the shot. Alf Lindström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saturnino Valente in the 68th minute of the match. In the 73rd minute Laureano Cordera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alf Lindström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Blyth Spartans made a substitution. Xälil Qämbärov replaced Kajetan Borucki. An unexpected shot in the 80th minute by Walter Berggren got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Alf Lindström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xälil Qämbärov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 91 minutes into the game, Saturnino Valente cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Alf Lindström was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 94 minutes into the match, Downi FF's goal looked a bit too open when Laureano Cordera came free, but Alf Lindström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, Xälil Qämbärov notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Downi FF's Alf Lindström. Alf Lindström was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Blyth Spartans's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
