The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 14 minutes into the game, Benjamin Björk was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hällingsjö IK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Downi FF the free kick. After 14 played minutes Hällingsjö IK got a freekick which was hit by Benjamin Björk. Henrik Palm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Downi FF's Alf Lindström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan Rönn in the 19th minute of play. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Downi FF's goalkeeper Alf Lindström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 24 minutes into the game, Peter Vassenius cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Alf Lindström was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hällingsjö IK's Jimmie Klack proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Hällingsjö IK from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Rönn in the 31st minute of play forced Downi FF's goalkeeper Alf Lindström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jan Rönn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute Kalle Johnsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimmie Klack saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jim Billing took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jimmie Klack. Jimmie Klack dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. After a rather tough play, Hällingsjö IK's Jan Rönn got a free kick in the 77th minute. Alf Lindström didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Peter Vassenius went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Jimmie Klack made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jim Billing in the 93rd minute of play. Hällingsjö IK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
