Spectators: 5150 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Viktor Byström kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stefan Josefsson in the 5th minute of play forced Skillingaryd IFK's goalkeeper Aldo Paul to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anthon Nyberg scored 0-1 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aldo Paul, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Aldo Paul made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torsten Duset in the 9th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stefan Josefsson in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aldo Paul saved Skillingaryd IFK from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingemar Olsson in the 17th minute of play forced Skillingaryd IFK's goalkeeper Aldo Paul to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aldo Paul showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stefan Josefsson in the 18th minute of the match. After having played for 19 minutes, Gunnar Örtlund managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Skillingaryd IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gunnar Örtlund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Anthon Nyberg charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anthon Nyberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to FC GAIS getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Anthon Nyberg hit a great ball. FC GAIS's Torsten Duset got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jens-Ove Ahlström might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Holger Wiberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jens-Ove Ahlström ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 39th minute Torsten Duset shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aldo Paul saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 48 minutes, Viktor Byström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Skillingaryd IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Viktor Byström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Stefan Josefsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Pål Hellström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aldo Paul didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 60th minute, which inside left pole to 0-2. In the 63rd match minute, FC GAIS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulf Mattsson to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of FC GAIS booed when Skillingaryd IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gunnar Örtlund didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aldo Paul showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anthon Nyberg in the 74th minute of the match. A hard shot 76 in the game by Torsten Duset from a close distance when the talented Aldo Paul managed to make a qualified save. Skillingaryd IFK's players were relieved. Aldo Paul came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by FC GAIS's Stefan Josefsson. But to his dismay, Stefan Josefsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Aldo Paul made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ingemar Olsson in the 90th minute of play. Aldo Paul made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Anthon Nyberg sent off a good shot on target. When Anthon Nyberg was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 97 minutes had been played. A collision led to FC GAIS getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Anthon Nyberg hit a great ball. Stefan Josefsson kicked well hit freekick during the 99th minute of the match. The Skillingaryd IFK supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching FC GAIS's performance. The match ended with a win for FC GAIS.
