Bengt-Rune Klintæus recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bengt-Rune Klintæus kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Marc Byström might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Georg Strand. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marc Byström ran back to his position shaking his head. Bengt-Rune Klintæus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Arvid Alkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Bengt-Rune Klintæus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to BoysDontCry getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Birger Ekström hit a great ball. The supporters of BoysDontCry booed when Ödeborg IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stefan Fogel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 39 minutes, Marc Byström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ödeborg IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marc Byström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Ödeborg IF booed when BoysDontCry was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl-Åke Söderman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marc Byström to make the kick off. Gustav Ålberg hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. If Marc Byström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Arvid Alkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simon Lundqvist in the 61st minute of the match. After 63 played minutes BoysDontCry got a freekick which was hit by Bernt Utter. 64 minutes into the match, BoysDontCry's goal looked a bit too open when Marc Byström came free, but Georg Strand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marc Byström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Georg Strand having to interfere. Arvid Alkvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simon Lundqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. 73 minutes into the game, Ödeborg IF's Marc Byström nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Georg Strand made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 77 minutes into the game, Georg Fredriksson threw the ball into play from the sideline. Ödeborg IF's Gustaf Bergqvist quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 79thth minute of the game Marc Byström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BoysDontCry's Georg Strand was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marc Byström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Georg Strand having to interfere. Georg Strand came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Ödeborg IF's Konrad Strömberg. But to his dismay, Konrad Strömberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Georg Strand showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marc Byström, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Ödeborg IF had played much better football throughout.
