Georg Strand came out of the goal and Jakob Stenström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Lukas Koch came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Dijon FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lukas Koch couldn't finish the play. Fredrik Holmberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Georg Strand read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Kasper Ström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Torsten Hedling in the 32nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in BoysDontCry's zone, Jakob Stenström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Georg Strand came out of the goal and Jakob Stenström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 45th minute, Jakob Stenström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jakob Stenström stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Jakob Stenström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Lukas Koch managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dijon FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lukas Koch was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Georg Strand breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dijon FC's Kasper Ström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torsten Hedling in the 75th minute of play. Kasper Ström made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Simon Lundqvist sent off a good shot on target. If Jakob Stenström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind BoysDontCry's goalkeeper Georg Strand, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Dijon FC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
