But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Justo Filipo couldn't finish the play. The supporters of BoysDontCry booed when Rimbo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justo Filipo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Morgan Örtendahl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Torsten Hedling, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Viggo Carlberg's late challenge caught a Rimbo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Viggo Carlberg helped the player get up and apologised. After 18 played minutes BoysDontCry got a freekick which was hit by Viggo Carlberg. Morgan Örtendahl didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bengt-Rune Klintæus went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After 26 minutes, Bengt-Rune Klintæus mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BoysDontCry and the Rimbo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bengt-Rune Klintæus hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After having played for 28 minutes, Justo Filipo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rimbo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Justo Filipo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, BoysDontCry's Jörgen Söderqvist got a free kick in the 29th minute. Jörgen Söderqvist kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Jörgen Söderqvist was shown his second yellow card after 34 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 34 played minutes BoysDontCry got a freekick which was hit by Jörgen Söderqvist. After a defensive mix-up in Rimbo FC's zone, Bengt-Rune Klintæus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Morgan Örtendahl came out of the goal and Bengt-Rune Klintæus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. BoysDontCry's Georg Strand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Justo Filipo in the 41st minute of play. Inge Vassenius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Georg Strand having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
Sigvard Christoffersson might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Georg Strand. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sigvard Christoffersson ran back to his position shaking his head. Georg Fredriksson made in the 57th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Rimbo FC's Elias Biörkman. After a defensive mix-up in BoysDontCry's zone, Inge Vassenius stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Georg Strand came out of the goal and Inge Vassenius tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in BoysDontCry fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 64th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 66 minutes, Rimbo FC's Håkan Täman got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Georg Strand. In the 72nd minute Inge Vassenius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Georg Strand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, BoysDontCry's Tord Björklund got a free kick in the 75th minute. In the 78th minute, Bengt-Rune Klintæus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 79th minute, Sigvard Christoffersson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Georg Fredriksson got his second yellow card in the match during the 82nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to BoysDontCry getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Georg Fredriksson hit a great ball. Håkan Täman was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 84th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Inge Vassenius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Georg Strand tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Tord Björklund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Georg Strand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sigvard Christoffersson in the 97th minute of play. Despite being the better team, Rimbo FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
