An unexpected shot in the 16th minute by Folke Vikström got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Göran Alebeck hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sven-Edvin Sundberg in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Malmö FF's players were relieved. 30 minutes into the match, Malmö FF's goalkeeper George Joensson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Folke Vikström. In the 95th minute, Folke Vikström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Bastuträsk fans cheered their team off the field, for while Malmö FF had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
