The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 6 minutes, Dag Apelkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sandhult's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dag Apelkvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ernst Fagerberg in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Martin Billström saved Sandhult from getting behind. Bror Gabrielsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Sandhult getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Kurt Lundberg hit a great ball. Dag Apelkvist had several of the Mustalainen Lahti FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 17 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Thomas Bagge as he didn't even see the shot coming. Kent Gabrielsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thomas Bagge. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kent Gabrielsson ran back to his position shaking his head. 42 minutes into the match, Mustalainen Lahti FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kent Gabrielsson came free, but Thomas Bagge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 43 minutes into the game, Maximilian Lundhberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mustalainen Lahti FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sandhult the free kick. After a rather tough play, Mustalainen Lahti FC's Maximilian Lundhberg got a free kick in the 43rd minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ernst Fagerberg was the one to do the kick off. Daniel Asklund was shown his second yellow card after 85 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 85th minute, Daniel Asklund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ernst Fagerberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Martin Billström having to make a save. Sandhult's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
