In the 12th minute, Malcolm Emander made a precise shot to the right of Mikael Ekenberg. Kiruna's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 15 minutes into the game, Oskarshamns AIK's Malcolm Emander nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mikael Ekenberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. After a rather tough play, Oskarshamns AIK's Samuel Firmin got a free kick in the 23rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oskar Mårtensson in the 32nd minute of play forced Oskarshamns AIK's goalkeeper Harald Björkdal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vilgot Frisk kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. If Henrik Vennerlund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Klas Glanselius to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Vilgot Frisk was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kiruna's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Oskarshamns AIK the free kick. A collision led to Kiruna getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Vilgot Frisk hit a great ball. Harald Björkdal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oskar Mårtensson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 57 minutes of play, Kiruna's Oskar Mårtensson made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Harald Björkdal was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 60th minute, Emil Ånger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Malcolm Emander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 63 minutes into the match, Kiruna's goalkeeper Mikael Ekenberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Henrik Vennerlund. Mark Österlund hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Malcolm Emander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mikael Ekenberg having to interfere. The supporters of Kiruna booed when Oskarshamns AIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Malcolm Emander didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th minute, Klas Glanselius left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kiruna fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. Henrik Vennerlund could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Mikael Ekenberg made a huge save. Malcolm Emander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Harald Björkdal came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Kiruna's Ingmar Nord. But to his dismay, Ingmar Nord quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-4. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Oskarshamns AIK eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
