The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henrik Vennerlund in the 6th minute of play forced Tottenham FC's goalkeeper Stig Helander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jon Ålberg in the 12th minute of play forced Oskarshamns AIK's goalkeeper Harald Björkdal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute, Charlie Hadrup hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oskarshamns AIK's Harald Björkdal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Oskarshamns AIK from getting a goal against them. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 18th minute of the game. One of Oskarshamns AIK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tottenham FC:s goal. With an all-out effort, Tottenham FC's Harald Björkdal threw himself towards the right post 24 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jon Ålberg, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Through an outstanding action, after 27 minutes, Harald Björkdal successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Kjell Joensson kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Stig Helander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kjell Joensson in the 33rd minute of the match. Wiktor Andersson took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Harald Björkdal. Harald Björkdal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 46 minutes into the match, Markus Finman dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Harald Björkdal, 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emil Ånger to make the kick off. Samuel Firmin kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Harald Björkdal came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Tottenham FC's Jon Ålberg. But to his dismay, Jon Ålberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Oskarshamns AIK's Harald Björkdal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jon Ålberg in the 70th minute of play. Harald Björkdal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henry Björklund in the 73rd minute of play. After 74 played minutes Oskarshamns AIK got a freekick which was hit by Jerry Hansson. Harald Björkdal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olof Sandström, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Harald Björkdal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jonas Ennegren went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Markus Finman in the 87th minute of play forced Oskarshamns AIK's goalkeeper Harald Björkdal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute of the game Wiktor Andersson made a throw-in which Bengt-Arne Waller played forward. In the 93rd minute, Olof Sandström left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tottenham FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Tottenham FC had played much better football throughout.
