Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Arvid Klintæus started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Dala-Järna's Filip Bjurström got a free kick in the 3rd minute. The Yacht Club fans' excitement grew in the 4th match minute when Yacht Club's Paquito Navarro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Yacht Club's Eric Lång got a free kick in the 9th minute. With a little luck, Yacht Club's Uno Kuse got control of the ball when Fredrik Söderström tried to sneak it across the goal line. Uno Kuse made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jonatan Falkrantz in the 21st minute. In the 21st minute, Tommy Lindkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dala-Järna's Arvid Klintæus got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 29th match minute, Yacht Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eric Lång to maneuver through the defense. Kim Tesner hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paquito Navarro to make the kick off. Yacht Club's Paquito Navarro was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 52nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eric Lång during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Dala-Järna booed when Yacht Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eric Lång didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yacht Club's Paquito Navarro got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paquito Navarro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paquito Navarro was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 78th minute. Yacht Club's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 86 minutes Yacht Club's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Klas Dusett who took care of the corner kick. After some careless play in the Dala-Järna defense, Kim Tesner kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Conny Ekelund. The Dala-Järna fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Conny Ekelund should have stopped the shot. The Yacht Club supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Yacht Club would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
